A fun-filled half term is on offer at The Moors National Park Centre, Danby with craft activities and a guided walk to look for signs of autumn.
Christmas
Using a variety of natural and man-made materials, children can make unique decorations to hang on a Christmas tree on Tuesday 26 October 2010 (1.30pm to 3.30pm, cost £4.50).
Autumn Walk
On Wednesday, 27 October, 2010 the North York Moors National Park Authority’s education team will be leading an Autumn Watch Walk at 1pm from the Centre getting children to fill in their own activity book along the way. The walk is 2.8 miles and costs £3.
Spring bulbs
Planting spring bulbs in peat-free compost and a pot decorated with natural materials and paint is the activity for Thursday 28 October (1.30pm to 3pm, cost £5)
Halloween crafts
On Friday 29 October there’s a drop-in session to make some spooky Halloween crafts (11am to 3pm, cost £3).
Art
From Wednesday 27 October their is also have a stunning exhibition of paintings, ceramics and photography all inspired by the National Park’s beautiful coastline.”
