More than 1,000 species of insects and animals rely on mushrooms for food and shelter.

As more and more land is turned into profitable farming or housing ancient habitats for fungi are being lost.

The British Mycological Society is a registered British Charity open to all who are interested in promoting and learning about the exciting world of fungi.
